it took me hours today, but i got this thing to build in msvc. a little dirty, but it seems to run without a hitch (so far)...

wondering if anyone would like severely hacked up copy of the latest code so they can mess with it in msvc? (if im even authorized to give anyone such a thing!)

I for one am praying for better midi support(TIMING!!). Need to go test this thing with midi though.

You are certainly authorized to distribute your patches, as long as they're in accordance with the GNU General Public License. However, this will never be officially supported, since GCC is freely available and supports a much wider range of systems. If you want to contribute to development, consider using a free software compiler.

Totally understood! This is definately a dirty-icky one-off of the current beauty that is up there. Anyone who wants to contribute probably shouldn't use a version such as this. I'm not sure if difference in compilers can cause any performance increase/decrease or stablity changes, but Im just hoping so! Just need to test it. If i think anything is magically better(i wish!) on this compiler ill definately speak up.
