XI instrument loading (5)

Hi,
when will XI instrument loading be supported in schism ? Currently I can't load them, and I have quite a bunch (bought the "number-1 instrument" CD from maz-sound).
I know that I can load a XM file which contains XI instruments, but for that I need to have another tracker installed aside schism tracker. I'd prefer not.
And you can find a lot of .xi file on the internet, and no .iti file.

Another question: is .iti file loading supported ? If yes I'll consider writing a xi2iti converter...

Schism wouldn't be a very good IT clone without .iti support, now would it? ;)

If you're thinking of putting together some code, might I suggest writing an .xi loader? Take a look at fmt/iti.c for a starting point, it isn't hard. I just haven't done it because I have no .xi files and therefore no motivation to write a loader for them.

If you happen to use linux, sndfile-convert says it can read from .XI files. I've never tried myself. It may also work on OS X.

sorry for the late answer, I'm on vacation. Okm I'll look at the schism code to make it able to load .xi file...
Currently i'm writing a small utility in python to convert a .IT file to .TXT (a king of 'export pattern info to text'.

Yesm I KNOW it is useless. I just wanted one.
