how to save sample in F3 to WAV (2)

please could someone post a how-to on saving a sample loaded into schismtracker, into a WAV?
alt-t gives me raw, au,aif but when i save aif, i cant load it back, it loads in as some crazy un-supported file (looks kinda like a 8bit sample loaded as 16bit, or vice versa)

all i wanted to do, was use schism to chop up a sample, then save it as a wav, load it into soundforge, eq it, save it, and load it back to schism.

please could someone please help me with this
