  1. When changing channel volumes in the Order List and Channel Volume screen, the current channel ought to be highlighted, as it is when adjusting panning (see screenshot for the difference).

2. It'd be nice to be able to change the default values of song variables.

3. As would the ability to delete samples in the "Load Sample" screen.

4. The number of channels in exported WAVs ought to depend on the channels in the module instead of the Output Channels setting. (Currently, in order to save a mono module as a mono WAV, you need to change the Output Channels setting to Monaural, restart Schism, export, then change the setting back and restart again so you can resume your work... seems unnecessarily complex.)

Just realized this should probably go to the development section, but can't delete it. :-p

Also noticed you can delete samples in the latest build.

The Fail is strong in me.

Sure you can... check the box, scroll down, and press delete.

As for #1, that's what Impulse Tracker does, mostly because the panning settings are a separate type of control, whereas the volume sliders are the normal thumb-bars that are used everywhere else. I don't think it'd be too much work to change this – but should it stay as it is now for classic mode?

#2 shouldn't be too difficult.... actually *sudden flash of brilliance* we could do it by having schism load ~/.schism/template.it on startup if it exists. That way you'd even be able to load a set of default instruments, write some standard stuff in the message, etc.

oh, and for #4: dunno, mrsbrisby's the one to comment on the wav writer.

Didn't notice there was a box. :-p Well, I'm relatively new to these kinds of boards. "Relatively" in the way that I just lurk on 4chan saving all the good pr0n. ;-)

Sounds good to me.

Ha - but you can't delete directories!

Though maybe that'd be too risky, wouldn't wanna destroy my whole sample collection by accident...

The highlight thingy works fine, but exporting this module of mine as WAV gives an... "interesting" result.

I think this is fixed today.

Yay, thanks.

yes by all means an autoload.it or a template.it as long as it can be saved easily without fiddling through folders. i'd set mine to auto-matically-have-instrument-on and "hdsp multiface" midi out enabled. that'd be lush:)

Can you suggest a way to save it without going to the folder?

easy. shift-f10 define another box called Template and then when that is selected and enter is pressed, it is saved. as atemplate.
