kay, we just had a surreal discussion on irc that, as far as i can tell, had something to do with skirts and pants. but aside from that, essentially delt wants the ctrl-d key back to toggling between sharps and flats. i (storlek) see nothing wrong with having such a key but i think ctrl-d is a poor choice of keybinding for such behavior because it was used for a global trigger in impulse tracker (i.e. open dos prompt) vs. local to the pattern editor and infopage in schism tracker. plus, using such a key for something minor (no pun intended) seems like kind of a waste especially if some other highly significant thing comes along later (like compiling in dosbox or something with the app, idk).
so... new proposition: ctrl-shift-d, which maintains most of the fingerfeel, still accessible but probably not likely to be accidentally (also no pun intended) hit when its effects aren't desired. pros, cons, thoughts?
ctrl-shift is used for hex unicodish entry in gtk, and I kindof wanted to keep that open.
Maybe, some other letter that isn't a hex letter?
How about C-; or C-: ? These strokes aren't used...
yes, however those keys also don't use the d key, which was the primary appeal of using ctrl-shift-d – to maintain that finger-feel that delt wanted.
bah, which key isn't really that important.. as long as it works from the infopage and pattern editor without having to go to the config screen each time.
Another small request, can .MOD note volumes be loaded in the volume column like it used to be, instead of "!xx" in the effect column? it sounds ok this way, but it's pretty confusing to try to read.

that shouldn't be at all difficult to do. actually i've been meaning to fix those "alien effects" when loading mod/xm/etc. for years now...
C-; and C-: look like strange smiley faces.
