How come I keep getting eaten by the spammer? Any characters I'm not allowed to use or something?

I'll try again... anyone know how to init. the samples in a track as instruments if they weren't loaded as such first? In IT I could just click the Instruments button in the Variables screen but doesnt seem to work in Schism... or am I just retarded? Cheers

Hrm, a lot of people have been saying stuff about the spam filter lately. Could you pastebin what you were trying to post?

You should just be able to hit the "instruments" button on the F12 page and say yes to the prompt if you've set your song up in sample mode and want to switch. If you've already set up at least one instrument, though, Schism won't give that prompt again, so you'll have to delete them first – just hit new song and keep everything but the instruments, then go back and hit the instrument mode button again.

I can't remember if Impulse Tracker prompted every time regardless, but maybe that's the difference.

Ah that's something I didnt try... yeah I did actually have two samples set as instruments so I'll try New Song and keep everything but the instruments.

Thanks!

A lot of crashes after update to Mac OS X 10.5.6 :(
Where I can find a log file on my computer to send it to developers?

I think Mac OS X produces an application log on crashes. There should be a button to capture the backtrace.

you can post it here.

Good idea. Here is a log:

> Version: 0.5rc1 (0.5rc1)

Is that accurate? If so please get the latest build and see if it's been fixed since then. 0.5 is fairly ancient.

(At a glance, that crash seems to be related to the MIDI subsystem, not instruments.)

it's the 02-Nov-2008 build for Mac OS X
