They're supposed to?

I recall this action to be listed in there yes. Makes sense: if you have a lot of patterndata at the last row and you accidentally press alt-insert, you are fscked b/c there's no way to retrieve that data (unless you saved)

The undo function doesnt function optimal too:

-fill pattern 0 and 1 with some data. P1 needs to have different data to see the difference
-copy P0 and paste to P1
-go to any pattern (but not pattern 1) and select 'undo paste data'
-instead of undoing the data for the pattern you pasted it in, it is pasting the undone pattern in the current pattern

___

Just a question: why does paging through patterns is also listed when you have made no changes at all? This may clog up and let an important undone option to vanish from the earth (i had this a few times)

And a different color for the text for undo options which you already applied. or plain suffixed with '(redo)'

Maybe more keyboard interaction in the undolist? I press home standard to move up to the list. Nada. Then pgup. Nothing either! :) I (and most certainly others as well) do this automatically.

Checked itexe. This is fixed in CVS now.

Checked Impulse Tracker, and the current behavior is correct. Please stop merging topics into a single post it makes it harder to reply to. Please in the future explain whether you are describing a bug (where schism is incorrect) versus a feature request. Those first belong on /sc/ because users have a lot of say in changing Impulse Tracker behavior.

Thanks for fixing.

My apoligy for posting multiple elements in one thread.

>and the current behavior is correct

It might be, but the behaviour I mentioned sucks and doesnt make sense IMO . I already found so while working with IT.

Oh ya, I want to ventilate my findings only, so it seems Im complaining, like aforementioned points, but other than that, I want to say that you devs are doing a great job.

Please see: http://sovietrussia.org/wiki/Schism:Debugging#How_to_help_somebody_else_with_a_bug_in_Schism_Tracker

Impulse Tracker is sufficiently complicated that I will admit I don't know every behavior so I can't always tell from a short quip whether you're asking for a feature request, or a bug fix. I like to get a lot of feedback for feature requests- especially requests that might change the expected behavior and/or muscle memory for users.

That's appreciated.
