/z/ is for flashing backgrounds and loud looping music. If you plan on changing the stylesheet, then do it right.

I enjoy your user-comradely discussion board, but I'm thinking of the following improvements:

• More faithful implementation of Markdown, for people who are used to it from their blog.
• Shortcuts to tweet or bookmark to facebook/digg/etc... a thread.
• A developer API is really required to take /z/ to the next level. The matsuba web client will not be suitable for professional or mobile users.
• Tagging, to allow ad-hoc folksonomies to emerge as to provide better navigation tools than the search box.

It could also be used to flag NSFW pictures for those of us who access /z/ from work.

You probably meant to say that the A above middle C is 440 Hz. That places middle C at approximately 261 Hz, which is mathematically somewhat odd. Personally, I tune all of my instruments to C=256, standards be damned – it makes a lot more sense as it's based around exact powers of two (2⁸ = 256). With this method, A4 ends up at roughly 429-430 Hz.

Another interesting tidbit to consider: the sampling rate of a compact disc (as well as the most commonly available output frequency of a computer sound card) is 44100 Hz. With this sample rate, it's really quite easy to produce 441 Hz note simply by outputting a waveform with a period of 100 samples.

I think it would be nice to have some sort of regex-like word boundaries in the word filters, so short words in the middle of larger words won't get filtered. Maybe new syntax like -> would automagically put \b tags around the word.
